Description: I hear this statement all the time. “I am not where I want to be. I am not where I think I should be. I’ve been working at this for years and I just can’t get it. I understand. I feel you. I feel your pain and frustration. Not every trader I work with makes it. And that’s the raw, honest truth. I know a lot of traders who started when I started in 2012 and were with me when I became a moderator at Warrior Trading in 2016. And they still haven’t made it yet.
What is the problem?

To take a quote from Erick Thomas, It costs not being the boss” When you’re not the boss you have someone or some thing over you pulling your strings and calling the shots. And those that continue to struggle and quit, have trouble understanding this concept because as we all know, we can’t control the financial markets. We feel like we are a victim to it. That it is all powerful and runs all aspects of our lives as a trader. WRONG. True, we can’t control the markets, but we can control our engagement in them. We control the moves we make. I know we always say we are waiting for the market to tell us what to do, and that could be interpreted the wrong way. What we are doing is waiting for the market to show it’s hand so that we can make a decision.

We are the boss. Not the markets.
